This truly captures Capria’s investment expedition in the Global south markets last year. Capria - |

We made our maiden investment in Indonesia with an investment in Alami, a Shariah-compliant peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and digital bank for individuals and MSMEs. |

The series of investments in innovative tech startups aiming to deliver scaled impact is not everything that we celebrate. We added three leading funds - Valor (Brazil), NXTP (Argentina) and India Quotient (India), to an existing network of fabulous investing partners, and increased our network strength significantly.
And in the process, Capria continued to gain prominence in leading media across the Global south. A few highlights of that:
We were at the DealStreetAsia summit, as one among prominent speakers this year! Our partnership with Cometa Ventures saw prominent visibility across Bloomberg, Forbes Mexico, Contxto, LABS and many others. We also went live on CNBC in India, bringing a global perspective to a panel discussing headwinds faced by local startups. In Africa, our participation in Techpoint (Africa’s leading podcast) ‘Equity Merchant’ helped shed light on our companies, scaling new heights.
Encouraging enough as 2022 was, 2023 begins with bigger aspirations. Together with our partners and founders we are looking forward to a big year. Happy New Year! |
